PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES
If you have any concerns or questions throughout the school year, we encouarge you to contact your child's teacher(s). Communication is one of our most important tools in a successful education. Mandatory parent-teacher conferences will take place on Thursday, November 8, 2007, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and Tuesday, November 13, 2007, from 4:00pm util 8:00pm.
Conferences for students in Kindergarten through 4th grades will take place in their respective classroom. The teachers will be available for "first come, first serve" conferences of no more than 15 minutes in length. Chairs will be placed outside of the classrooms for you if you need to wait for the next available teacher. Conferences for students in the 5th through 8th grade will take place in the Parish Hall/Cafeteria. Teachers will be strategically located in the cafeteria for "first come, first serve" conferences of the same time length of no more than 15 minutes. The benefit of all the upper grade teachers in the same room is if you would like to visit with any upper grade teacher other than your child's homeroom teacher, you will be able to see who may be free to see you immediately. If you need to wait for an open teacher, please be considerate of the parent(s) at conference with a teacher. In all situations, if you have to wait your turn, please be patient. Conferences will be for parents and teachers only. Children are not to attend. Report cards will be distributed by your child's homeroom teacher at your conference. Please keep in mind that any parent who does not attend a conference on November 8th or November 13th WILL NOT receive their child's report card. Fall conferences are mandatory and the teachers are working extra hours to accommodate your family schedules. SPECIALTY TEACHER SCHEDULE (Subject to change for Fall 2007) Specialty teachers will be available to meet with parents for a conference as follows:
