What is MOPS?

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS exists to meet the needs of all mothers of preschoolers from all walks of life who share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy to kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs. The St. Joe's MOPS group began 8 years ago when some women of the parish felt a need for a support group for mothers of pre-schoolers. The first organized MOPS meeting took place in September of 1999.

The 2008-2009 theme has been announced! Adventures in Mothering The MOPS International theme for 2008-09 is Adventures in Mothering. This theme equips moms to learn more about themselves as they go through the adventure of motherhood. They will celebrate and embrace the fun in the experiences, even in the midst of daily mom life that stretches them emotionally and spiritually.
